Thai national symbol


From history

On December 27, 2005, 3 things were declared the National Symbol Thailand by cabinet decision:

  1. Thailand’s national animal is the “Thai elephant” Chang Thai (Asian elephant or Elephas Maximus).
  2. The national flower is the “Ratchapruek-Blume” (Koon) Ratchapruek (Cassia fistula Linn).
  3. The national architecture is “Sala Thai” Sala Thai (pavilion)
